Math and Science

My name is Andrew Divita (Mr. Divita for students), and I teach Middle School and High School math and science! Specifically, I teach 7th Grade Math, Algebra 1, Conceptual Physics, and STEAM. I have been tutoring math and computer science for multiple years, and when I attended Granada High School (right here in Livermore!) I mentored music students at Junction Avenue K8 in trombone. Teaching has always been a passion of mine, and I'm excited to watch the students at LVA learn and grow!
Education: After graduating from Granada High School in 2018, I attended UC Santa Cruz for 3 years and just recently (2021) graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
About Me: I've been a musician for many years, specifically a brass player. I mainly play trombone, but have experience on tuba, baritone and trumpet. In my daily extra time, I enjoy video games, listening to music, and going for walks around Livermore. On weekends, I love to go camping, backpacking, hiking or back to visit Santa Cruz. As side projects, I enjoy programming in Python, C++ or Java. I hope to soon pick up some side-work as a web developer for local businesses! As a final "fun fact" about me, I earned my Eagle Scout in Livermore in 2018!
