My name is Christine Grimm and I have the honor and the pleasure of serving as the principal of Livermore Valley Academy.
I received my bachelor’s degree from Rhodes College, in Memphis TN, majoring in International Studies and a minor in business administration. My first teacher position was at a small Catholic high school on the south side of Chicago. I instantly fell in love with education. I received a master’s in teaching in 2005 and began teaching middle school in the suburbs of Chicago. A few years later, I became a part of a team that opened up a new high school. I taught social studies, coached cross country and sponsored community service events.
Along the way, I earned my master’s in educational leadership (Administration) and began mentoring student teachers and new teachers on a consistent basis.
In 2013, I was given the opportunity to join DeVry University and work in outreach and admissions.
Upon moving to California and throughout the COVID pandemic, I took on the challenge of tutoring students privately and learning more about what the educational process looks like for families at home. This has given me tremendous insight into what we, as educators, can do differently to improve the educational experience.
When, I am not at LVA, some of my favorite times are spent visiting the farmer’s market with my parents, running with my dog Frankie and spending time with friends and family. Every once in a while, I find the time to enjoy a good book too.
I am looking forward to working with all our wonderful families to make the 2021-2022 school year amazing.
